Rihanna gave Instagram followers a visual surprise yesterday. The ‘savage’ singer previewed photos from her Harper’s Bazaar magazine feature. A themed fashion photo shoot, she did excellent at channeling her inner Amelia Earnhart.
To her 48.8 million followers she shared a total of 10 photos. The shots ranged from her face on the cover art to walking the airport runway, inside of a vintage airplane, to a graphic edit of her standing on top of the aircraft while in the sky.
BadgirlRiRi was given the opportunity for her fearlessness in the Pop culture industry. Her edgy, no-fear image, reminded editors at the magazine of Earnhart, though the aviator’s fearlessness was displayed in a different way.
The star of the Fenty family left comments of her own, thanking Harper’s Bazaar for the opportunity.
In the thanks she writes, “There’s something so special about a woman who dominates in a man’s world. It takes a certain grace, strength, intelligence, fearlessness, and the nerve to never take no for an answer. Amelia Earnhart was such a dynamic force in her industry, setting multiple aviation records in her time. So it was a no-brainer for me to team up with Harper’s Bazaar in honor of a woman who held her own with big boys.”
This Rihanna issue of HP is for March 2017. The couture fashion shoot was shot by Mariano Vivanco.
