It looks like the M-town’s beef has been re-ignited. After it was said all was calm in the town of smoked ribs and sweet southern foods, it seems the cow cuts are very much alive. Young Dolph dissed Young Gotti in his new song “Play Wit’ Yo Bit-h” to kick off 2017 and this is beef that might not be possible to ignore.
“Self made millionaire. Everybody love me except one group of b–ch a-s n–gas” says Young Dolph to open the song.
Who is he speaking on? It appears he’s talking to Young Gotti and his entire CMG crew.
What is CMG? It stands for Cocaine Muzik Group and houses a small roster of Memphis rap artists. The talent includes Yo Gotti, Blac Youngsta, Snootie Wild, MoneyBagg Yo, and more.
In this new diss track Young Dolph questions why his artists call the “Slide in the DMs” rapper boss. Accusations are made about YD sleeping with YG’s baby mother, who did a lot of slick pillow talking.
“Found my number in her phone, and it hurt your pride,” raps Dolph at one point. He continues on the situation later in the new song adding, ”
Beyond that scathing one liner, Dolph also calls out Gotti for making sneak disses on intros of his prior two mixtapes in 2016. On top of that, the “Royalty” rappers says Yo Gotti really never sold cocaine heavily in the city of Memphis and he was a supplier for Gotti’s street OG. Lastly, Dolph calls out his rival for constantly hating on other entertainers in the city, mainly Three-6 Mafia, who did a lot for the music scene that allowed all the Memphis Hip Hop acts a change to thrive.
This rivalry has been sizzling for over a year now and in 2017 it may be coming to a head.
