The Toronto rap scene is really taking over Hip Hop in America. They have flooded the scene since Drake kicked down the door, using a tactic of ‘duplicate the style and inject the new.’ Well, here’s one rapper from The 6 that’s lived in the states and still keeps it very much ‘Canada Ay’ with the speaking voice. His new joint just released, the official Tory Lanez “Dopeman Go” music video.
What’s DMG about?
This single is all about the lifestyle of the Dopeman. However it also somewhat sounds like a Givenchy commercial. Beyond that, the R&B trap-singer also talks about the luxury, financially free lifestyle of a dope dealer. Flying women around at will, driving luxury sports cars, putting on the crew, and smoking the finest are all the topics covered.
As for the music video…
Dopeman Go is shot at a rough looking, abandoned house location. A rural ‘traphouse’ perhaps, there are shots of Tory Lanez performing on the rooftop, outside the house, and inside it. Glimpses of a model and his crew are mixed in a B-role scenes as well.
