Rapper Polo G already had a #1 single earlier in 2021. Now he can add another accolade to his rising career. The young Chicago GOAT has officially scored his first #1 Billboard album as well, according to the official website.
The new “Hall of Fame” rap album did over 160-million streams. These figures are what truly helped separate Polo G from the others. His pure sales stopped 400 shy of 18k, which was 2500 less than the ales of the new album from Atlanta rap trio, Migos. Single downloads from Piano G’s new joint reached 10,100 at the week’s end, which also lagged behind Migos. None the less, the new generation is streaming. The Hip-Hop listeners on iTunes, Spotify, Tidal, and other services gave Polo G the crown rightfully.
Migos, though their new album didn’t take #1, Culture III did manage to nab the second spot above all other music artists. The ATL legends keep Hip-Hop running strong, helping keep it the dominant genre charting.
Sales Wise, the Migos Culture 3 album had 127.1-million streams, 23.1k pure sales, and 19.1k songs downloaded. This notched them slightly above Olivia Rodriguez’s “Sour” album, which will likely re-take #1 if it continues at the pace it has maintained in past weeks.
